Candaba Marsh, Pampanga, Philippines The Candaba Marsh is a bird sanctuary that thousands of migratory birds visit during their Winter migration season from October until April. During the rest of the year, the area is flooded and muddy and difficult to access. The areas is a wetland composed of freshwater ponds, swamps, and marshlands with grasslands and rice fields. There are also farmers who raise domestic ducks (itik) and goats.
