These are some of the birds found in Mt. Palay-palay one of our favorite places to go birding. These pictures were taken over several trips. Mt. Palay-palay is supposed to be a protected area and national park. It is the last area with forest in Cavite. Unfortunately, a road project was started with plans to build right in the middle of the forest to connect Manila to Batangas. The road has not yet been completed. According to those who birded the area before the road project started, there were many, many more birds there before. This is a critical bird habitat that needs to be saved!
