Tubbataha Reef
Sea Bird Survey 2011
The first time we heard about the Tubbataha Seabird Survey, it immediately went to the top of my list of trips we really, really wanted to take. Just the idea of a thriving, well-protected bird sanctuary in the Philippines was both mind-boggling and hope-inspiring.
When Lory Tan of WWF invited us to join the 2011 trip, were ecstatic, thrilled, happy, jumping up and down, and thankful. We were also had a big question-- what gear do we bring? We were sure of only one thing. This was not going to be like any birding trip we had ever been on. This was our most amazing bird watching and bird photography trip ever.
