Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler

Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler Locustella certhiola Bird #527 - November 2019 Batan, Batanes We were in the plaza trying to get photos of the Little Bunting . Unfortunately it was dismissal time and there were many children crossing the plaza and walking right where the bird was. We also got distracted by the Tundra Bean Goose that flew into the plaza! Then Rob said, "wait, this other bird looks more interesting!" That was a quandary for us because the Little Bunting was a lifer and we still needed a photo. The other bird was a Pallas's Grasshoper Warbler. Rob would flush it, then it would fly off, land somewhere near and proceed to dive into the grass. Then Rob would flush it again. No decent pictures because it was dark and rainy. According to Rob it is very difficult to get photos of that bird because it doesn't perch out in the open.
