This is called Chestnut-eared Bulbul in the Kennedy guide. This is a common Philippine resident. It measures 266 mm (10 1/2 "). It is common in Batanes. They are usually found in groups and are very noisy. They are surprisingly hard to spot for such a large, noisy and conspicuous bird. It's called piyuk in Batanes.
There are three endemic races found in the Philippines. The one found in Babuyan Claro, Batan, Ivohos, and Sabtang is batanensis. The other two races are fugensis in Calauan, Dalupiri, and Fugua and camiguinensis in Camiguin Norte.
