There are two similar-looking Drongo Cuckoos found in the Philippines. The Drongo-Cuckoos that are found outside Palawan are the Philippine Drongo-Cuckoo. This bird is also known as Asian Drongo-cucko. It has a squarish tail with white markings. The Philippine Drongo-cuckoo doesn't have the white markings on the tail. Another similar looking bird found in Palawan is the Hair-crested or Spangled Drongo. This bird has a long "fish-tail" and thicker beak.
