This is a Philippine endemic. We were at the Los Baños Dairy farm looking for buttonquails when this bird walked out onto the same patch of trail that we were observing! We saw a Plain Bush-hen, Barred Buttonquail, Spotted Buttonquail, Barred Rail and Common Moorhen all on the same patch. The Plain Bush-hen was unmistakable because it has a lime-green bill.
