This is a first record for the Philippines. The Brent Goose was found by Rachel Casio from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). He is one of the DENR staff that received training on waterbird identification and monitoring.
When we saw the goose, it was feeding on water plants in a shallow pond. We also saw it swimming.
