We rushed over to Masantol, Pampanga after WBCP member Linda Gocon reported seeing this bird there. According to the Kennedy guide, there was only one previous record of this bird in the Philippines, back in 1916! So, like the twitchers that we sometimes are, we went there to take its picture even if it was very, very, very far away. I went back to digiscoping for this bird. It was tough to digiscope! There was some kind of lens flare going on, and i could hardly tell if I was focused or not. Tonji's pictures came out better.
