This used to be considered a race of Blue-headed Fantail Rhipidura cyaniceps. In the current checklist, two of the 4 races of Blue-headed fantail were given full species status. The other new species is Visayan Fantail Rhipidura albiventris.
We were watching a pair by the stream. They kept returning to a particular spot and we realized they had a nest there.
