This is an uncommon migrant according to the book but we have seen them in thousands in Pampanga.
It has orange webbed feet and an orange bill that is tipped with black. It has a black head when it is in breeding plumage. The birds that we saw are immature 1st winter birds mixed with adult winter birds.
