This is a 13" long uncommon Philippine resident. According to the Kennedy guide it "feeds by flying low, snatching prey from surface, but also dives". It is usually found along coasts and remove exposed sandbars and rocky islets. We saw it flying near the Rangers' Station at Tubbataha Reef.
