This bird is listed as "rare" in the Kennedy guide. We first saw Black-headed Gulls flying over the water. They were joined by two Black-tailed Gulls, an adult and immature.
There were many fishing boats out. A group of birds were flying over the water. There were about 8 Brahminy Kites, egrets, and gulls. Later there was a big commotion. People started running and shouting. The police were arresting the fishermen for dynamite fishing.
