The Kennedy guide says "Rare, offshore rocky islets. Note white V on head, dark brownish grey back and tail contrasting with blacker wings."
Christian Perez found this site while traveling in the area. It is the only site we heard of for this bird that is accessible from Manila. We saw the birds even before we reached the islet. They were following the fishermen on bancas. The other birds we saw on the islet were Black-naped Tern and Pacific Reef Heron.
