This is a common migrant. But we have only photographed it once. It is possible the we mistake if for the Whiskered Tern when it is in its winter plumage. It looks similar to a Whiskered Tern in winter plumage and has similar size. in breeding plumage the differences are easy to see, the body and head is all black with white tail feathers.
