We first saw this bird In January 2011 but did not get to photograph it until our second visit to PICOP in September 2012. It is found in Camiguin Sur, Dinagat, and Mindanao. It can be easily identified by its red face and white tail with black terminal band. The sexes differ. The male has a white head, the female has a black head.
