Arctic Warbler
ARCTIC WARBLER
Phylloscopus borealis
Phylloscopidae Family
Bird #35 - October 2008
We first saw this in Narra Park in Alabang. It's a small, fast-moving bird.
According to Des Allen of WBCP, first year birds can have a very yellow wash to the throat, and also to other parts of the underparts.
In the 2013 WBCP Checklist which is based on the IOC checklist, the Arctic Warbler was split into three: Arctic Warbler, Kamchatka Leaf Warbler Phylloscopus examinandus and Japanese Leaf Warbler Phylloscopus xanthodryas. They can be told apart by their call.
