This bird is found in Basilan, Biliran, Bohol, Dinagat, Jolo, Leyte, Mindanao, Negros, Samar, Sanga Sanga, Sipangkot, and Tawi-Tawi. It has a yellow eyebrow, white throat, and yellow undertail coverts. It is usually found below 1000 m in lowland and mid-mountain forest and forest edge, below the range of Negros Leaf Warbler (formerly known as Mountain Leaf Warbler). On Negros it overlaps with Lemon-throated Leaf Warbler.
