Birds of the Philippines
Photos and videos of wild birds found in the Philippines. We travel all over the Philippines to document and take pictures of birds. Our goal is to make this site a resource of information and images about wild birds of the Philippines.
Eyebrowed Thrush
EYEBROWED THRUSH
Turdus obscurus
Family Turdidae
L 218 mm (8 1/2")
migrant, uncommon
Bird #104 - January 2009
This bird has a look-alike, the Brown-headed Thrush. The Eyebrowed Thrush has grey on the upper breast and a broad white eyebrow. The ones we photographed were in fruiting trees together with Philippine Bulbuls. They can also be found on the ground.
We first saw this bird in Mt. Kitanglad in 2009. It was very common there, like the maya of that area. Unfortunately, we did not get a picture at the time. Our photos are from November 2012.
