This is called Pygmy Babbler in the Kennedy guide. There are two races of Pygmy Babbler and they have been split. The pygmaea found in Leyte and Samar is now Visayan Pygmy Babblerand plateni found in Mindanao is now Mindanao Pygmy Babbler . The Mindanao Pygmy Babbler was common in Bislig. They were usually the trees among the mixed flocks. We also occasionally saw them in low shrubs.
