Before climbing Mt. Kitanglad you pass thru this village to get permission to pass thru their area. They also perform a ritual where they kill a chicken. These people will either take care of the forest or cut it down and plant vegetables. Hopefully they see the value in the forest and they keep it intact for future generations of Filipinos.
