<i>Exilisciurus whiteheadi</i>

This is also sometimes called the Tufted Pygmy Squirrel. It was discovered in 1887 by the British explorer John Whitehead (1860-1899). This is a Borneo mountain endemic. I took this photo on Mt. Kinabalu at around 5000 feet.
